"Within hours of our departure, all my doubts about bringing the whole family along were gone. The excitement on the kids' faces when they first sighted sea otters and whales was beyond belief."

You will be surrounded by Alaskan wildlife, whether on board Home Shore, in a kayak or outboard skiff, or walking a pristine beach.
|
|
Admiralty, Baranof, and Chichagof Islands have large populations of brown (grizzly) bear.
We observe these magnificent animals on stream deltas,
browsing on sedges in the spring and gorging on salmon in late summer.

Animals you will see are large and small, from whales and bears to tiny tide pool creatures. In between are countless eagles, seals, sea lions, sea otters, deer, puffins, and other seabirds.
Yes, you can recharge your camera batteries on board Home Shore. All photos were taken during our tours.

|
We observe all wildlife viewing guidelines. If our presence begins to affect
the animals' behavior, we back away and give them more space. We limit
the time of our visits when near sites that are critical to their life cycle,
such as sea otter kelp beds and sea lion rookeries.
